Let’s get straight to the point: Power and size
We built these carbon crystal heaters for machines that demand fast, focused heat. Think of them as the workhorses for jobs that need serious power in a tight space. You’re looking at a 400V, 2500W rating. That’s a lot of heat packed into a small package. The 300mm tube length focuses all that energy into a precise spot. This isn’t for warming up a room. It’s for hitting a specific target, hard and fast.
The inside story: Halogen and the R7s base
At the core, you’ve got a carbon crystal filament nestled inside a quartz envelope. It throws off broad-spectrum infrared heat that gets right into the material, much better than standard wire elements. And here’s the secret to its long life: the halogen gas inside. It prevents the filament from going dim over time, so you get consistent, reliable performance, shift after shift. For the base, we chose the R7s for one simple reason: it’s a solid, mechanical lock. It handles the current and keeps everything perfectly aligned. That means you can drop it right in, and you won’t have to worry about a loose connection or something getting out of whack when the machine is vibrating.
Where this really shines—and the reality check
These heaters are at their best when speed is everything. Think PET blowing, thermoforming, plastic welding. The rapid heat-up cuts down cycle times, which is a huge win. But here’s the thing to keep in mind: that 2500W, 400V power comes hot. So you have to make sure your machine’s cooling and shielding are up to the task. When your setup is properly matched to the lamp, you get dependable, focused heat right where you need it, every single time.
