It’s all about getting intense, focused heat right where it needs to be—straight into the PET preform. You need a heating element that can match the cycle speed and give you the thermal punch for a consistent wall thickness. So we engineered this lamp to slide right into your Husky setup as a direct replacement. No messing around with reworks. Just plug it in and keep your line running.
The Nitty-Gritty
On a Husky HyPET line, the heater has to hit the preform hard, and it has to do it over and over again without missing a beat. That’s why our lamp runs on high voltage—usually 400V. This lets us pack a ton of power into a compact 300mm quartz tube, a size that fits your standard heating zone without changing the machine footprint. The bonus? Higher voltage means less current for the same power, which keeps your control cabinet and wiring from turning into an oven during those long runs. We tune the power to deliver the right heat flux for rapid heating, so you can run at high speed without the temperature wobbling all over the place. You get steady, predictable output that sticks to the setpoint, keeping your process tight and consistent.
What It’s Made Of
We chose a shortwave halogen element inside a quartz tube because it responds instantly and holds its output steady, even as the preforms move in and out of the heating zone. The tube itself has a special coating that focuses the infrared energy onto the preform and manages reflection inside the lamp housing. This does two things: it gets more heat to the preform surface, and it protects the element from developing hot spots. And the connector? It’s built to match Husky systems, using R7s or Sk15 terminals. They give you a solid connection that can handle the heat cycling, and they make swapping out the lamp fast. Installation is simple: align, seat, and lock. No custom wiring needed.
