If you’re running SIG Blomax lines, you know the headache of tube burn-outs. It’s frustrating. You swap in a standard OEM replacement, everything looks fine, and then—boom—another failure. Most of the time, it comes down to thermal stress. Those standard tubes just aren’t built for the brutal, high-cycle environment of PET blowing. That’s why we built our reinforced heating elements. We wanted to stop that endless loop of downtime. Why the standard ones keep snapping Usually, the failure happens at the pinch seal or where the electrode hits. It’s a weak point. We fixed this by using a reinforced quartz envelope and tightening up the filament tension. It handles the rapid “hot-cold-hot” swings of the blowing process much better. Plus, we tweaked the structural footprint. This cuts down on the mechanical vibration that usually shakes a filament until it snaps. The technical side (kept simple) These are direct drop-in replacements. No fuss. We spent a lot of time on the wattage-per-centimeter ratio. The goal is to get your preform to that exact glass transition temperature without scorching the outside. If you need fast cycle times, you need high-wattage tubes to get that heat density. Just a heads-up: make sure your power supply and cooling fans can keep up with the extra heat. If they can’t, you’re just risking your wiring. Getting them in the machine We use standard connectors, so you can wire them up quickly and get back to work. No modifications needed. We also added a reinforced casing so the tube doesn’t shift around while the machine is screaming along at high speeds. Look, these parts are built to take a beating in a 24/7 plant.
