The 400V rating also keeps the current draw reasonable for plant power, but that does mean your fixture and wiring need to be rated for that voltage. And the 300mm length? It’s made to drop right into standard foot warmer housings. So if you’re replacing an old unit, it’s a clean swap.
What’s Inside: Halogen, Coated Quartz, and the R7s Connection
The tube itself is quartz, filled with halogen gas. Why does that matter? Halogen helps keep the filament stable when things get scorching hot, so the heat output stays consistent over the life of the tube. Quartz handles the thermal shock without cracking, and the coating helps control the heat spectrum while shielding the filament. Then there’s the R7s connector—double-ended, linear, and designed to lock the tube in securely. It carries the full load without needing extra base hardware.
