Why “Fast” Actually Matters
Most heaters rely on bulk—they get hot and stay hot. The problem is the lag. You’re waiting on the metal to warm up while your dough is just sitting there. We do things differently. We use short-wave infrared tech with a tungsten filament wrapped in high-purity quartz. Basically, we’ve shortened the distance the heat has to travel.It hits the target almost instantly. And here is the secret sauce: we add halogen gas into the tube. Without it, the tungsten evaporates and coats the inside of the glass in a cloudy film. Once that happens, your heat transfer tanks and your response time crawls. Our tubes stay crystal clear, so the energy hits the pizza the moment you flip the switch.
Taking the Beating
Turning a heater on and off every few seconds is a nightmare for the hardware. The filament expands and contracts constantly. Most tubes just snap under that kind of stress. We fixed that by tweaking the grain structure of the filament. It’s built to take that pounding without giving up. One heads-up, though: these tubes pack a serious punch. Because they operate at such high power densities, you can’t skimp on your wiring. If your sockets are undersized, they’ll pit and burn out long before the tube ever does.Make sure your connectors can handle the peak current.
A Couple of Things to Keep in Mind
These are designed to be drop-in replacements for most industrial arrays, so getting them installed is easy. But remember, because they put out so much concentrated heat, your oven chassis is going to soak up more ambient warmth over time. Just double-check that your ventilation is up to the task. You don’t want your control board frying just because your oven is doing its job too well.
