These tubes are basically tungsten filaments wrapped in quartz. Depending on your power grid, we can tweak the wattage and voltage to fit your shop. If you need to sear a crust or get a quick reheat, go for the high-wattage tubes—they ramp up fast. Just a heads-up: make sure your wiring and contactors can handle the current. If they can’t, you’re just asking for a burnout.
A Few Things to Watch Out For
Now, there’s a trade-off. Adding more tubes means more parts. More parts mean more things that could eventually break and a slightly messier wiring harness to deal with. You also have to be careful with the reflectors. If they’re crooked, you’re wasting energy and you might actually warp your oven chassis. Space them out properly. And when you’re swapping in replacement tubes, double-check the length and the connectors. If a tube is even a tiny bit too long, it puts pressure on the quartz seal.
